The AFPAAA Board of Directors has voted to cancel our planned 2020 annual meeting in Dayton and reschedule it for next year, with an exact date yet to be determined.
Wright-Patterson AFB recommended we cancel the meeting and reschedule it for a later date. Base officials have implemented restrictions on TDYs and public gatherings for the next 60 days and the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force has closed until further notice. Addditionally, the governor of Ohio announced a mandatory ban on all gatherings of more than 100 people for the foreseeable future, and closed all public schools in the state for three weeks.
On the bright side, the Dayton/Fairborn Holiday Inn is letting us cancel our hotel contract with no penalties. If you've already made reservations at the hotel, please call the Holiday Inn toll-free reservation line, (877) 410-6667, to cancel your reservation at your earliest convenience.
The Association will refund your registration fee (and convenience fee if you paid by credit card). If you've already made airplane reservations, most major airlines appear to be waiving flight change fees (with some restrictions, depending on the airline).
